Sarah’s mom, Rebecca, was my daughter’s fifth grade teacher! How much fun it has been to get to know Rebecca’s daughter, Sarah. Sarah is extremely talented in many areas. She even sent me a creative and very helpful document summarizing her various outfits for her senior session. Sarah played defense for the Heritage Huskies lacrosse team throughout high school, after starting to play lacrosse a year prior. I was delighted to see Sarah perform as one of the leads in our spring high school theater production, playing the part of Janice in “Mean Girls.” Sarah gave two weekends full of phenomenal performances, and was also one of the fantastic dance captains. She was subsequently nominated for best actress for Triangle Rising Stars…an extremely well-deserved recognition! Sarah has played the piano since she was four years old, and also plays the guitar. How wonderful that Sarah is going to follow in her mom’s footsteps to become an educator! I know UNC Charlotte will be delighted to have her in their Elementary Music Education program starting this fall, and that her future students are going to LOVE having her as their teacher!
