I was delighted when Patricia called to tell me that her daughter and family would be in town, and that they were hoping to capture some portraits to remember their visit. On Sunday at church, our family sits near Patricia, her husband Jim, and Patricia’s mom, Marie. If I don’t get a chance to give a hug or chat with them, I feel that something is missing from my week. I loved meeting their extended family and seeing a different side to Patricia and Jim! They have a fantastic sense of humor and even pulled a fast one on me during their session! How amazing to have the chance to photograph four generations at their beautiful property called Under the Oaks! If you get the chance go visit their garden center and take some pottery classes. Despite it being warm outside, their grandson Kellen was such a trooper. He enjoyed exploring the fantastic Mercedes Benz Gazelle that Patricia’s dad built from a kit quite a few years ago. Kellen’s parents, Lena-Marie and Dave, were wonderful to photograph both as a couple and interacting with Kellen. You could tell how much they adore each other, and they were also so loving and patient with Kellen.
