The back lighting was beyond dreamy for this session in Cary, NC. When we arrived at the first location in their neighborhood, I immediately knew we found a little piece of “heaven on earth.” My desire to photograph ninety-five percent of my subjects outside stems from my rationale that “God’s backdrop is the most beautiful backdrop!” I also think that everyone is more relaxed in an outdoor environment. Carrie is my beautiful sister-in-law so I have the privilege of photographing their family every year. Both Sarah and Ethan have grown so much since our first session six years ago. I love every minute I get to spend with them and the results of their sessions are always fantastic. I think Sarah is ready for a modeling career as her awareness and presence in front of the camera was spot on. We used their gorgeous family portrait on the front of their original custom designed Christmas card that they shared with family and friends.
