I have been photographing the amazing Belarussian Outreach Birthday Bash for many years. It is a joyful birthday celebration for the Belarus children visiting the Raleigh area for six weeks each summer, along with their host families. The Angus Barn donates their services and talent to make it an event to remember, providing a delicious lunch and many activities. This year did not disappoint with a fantastic water slide, go-carts, horseback riding, a large interactive digital game, and much more. Van Eure, whose father founded the Angus Barn back in 1960, and her husband Steve Thanhauser, are the owners of the Angus barn. They are at the Birthday Bash every year without fail to give the children huge hugs and help light the candles on their cupcakes during the singing of “Happy Birthday.” What a blessing to be a part of such a giving organization, Overflowing Hands, that is making a difference in the lives of children all over the world!
