The brilliant colors of nature make me happy. That is why I chose to be a natural light photographer over seven years ago. I also love being outside and spending time with the new friends that I meet through my photography. Sakinah put a lot of time and effort into figuring out the perfect outfits for their session which compliment the beautiful landscapes at Duke Gardens perfectly, especially the pop of pink. It was endearing to see how much Jurmond’s big sisters love their little brother as shown in their interactions during our time at the gardens. While the majority of the time I revel in color versions of portraits, every once in a while, certain images do speak to me through stunning black and white versions. Examples include the gorgeous profile shot of Sakinah and her littlest one, as well as the portrait I caught of her and her husband under the weeping willow.
