Have you ever been around another family that you just can’t help but smile the entire time you are with them? This is definitely one of those families! They make the most of each day and have a lot of fun while doing so! I have photographed this family each year since I started my photography business over six years ago, and we go back many more years than that when we enjoyed our time together at UVA. While they were visiting all the way from Ohio, we had the opportunity to photograph at Ed (Nick’s dad) and Marylin’s beautiful property in Chapel Hill. It was great to incorporate their extended family this year. One thing that makes my job so much fun is the time I get to spend with my subjects. Somehow the boys and I ended up with a game of “throw the acorns down the hill at the photographer and see how high she can jump!” (See the delight on Luke’s face as he clasps acorns in his hand!) My sessions end up being great exercise due to being an on location photographer and the physical nature of what I do, and this one was no exception!
