Laurel / Woodstock, GA high school senior photography

Congratulations to my amazing niece, Laurel, who graduated this weekend with honors! She is my sister’s oldest daughter. I recently read that redheads make up only two percent of the earth’s population, so I texted Laurel to tell her that she is a rare beauty! She jokingly sent me a picture of herself in her swim cap saying, “Not in my swim cap!” Laurel is just as smart and talented as she is beautiful! While she tried many different extra-curricular activities when she was younger, the one that captivated her was competitive swimming, which she started at the age of five. My sister, Tori, loves statistics and actually recorded that, as of the time of Laurel’s senior speech in mid-April for Chattahoochee Gold Swimming, Laurel had been to 3,062 practices! I was amazed that my sister had even thought to keep track! Laurel is a force to be reckoned with in the pool and classroom, which has led her to a full ride scholarship at Alabama in the fall. She was accepted into the Alabama Honors College where she will study Environmental Science in the STEM Path to MBA program, while competing on the Alabama Swim and Dive Team. Go Laurel…and Roll Tide!!!
